FF Distribution Announcment

FF Distribution is proud to announce its acquisition by adFunture UK.

adFunture UK will be the office for UK, Europe and worldwide territories supporting the work of adFunture International.

We will also be presenting an event in November. The adFuntunture Guerilla Store will run for around 4 weeks in November at London's new B2 store - part of the Bodhi Gallery/Cafe/Manga enterprise. During this time we will launch several new adFunture products by Sichi and Hicalorie,
plus worldwide launch events for the latest 3" and 10" Teddy Troops.

FF Distribution will operate under its existing name until November 2007.

News

Lots happening over on Hand On Fire, the illustration division of FF. The BUKA toy for adFunture Workshop has just launched at the Taipei Toy Festival. A commercial tie-in with Nike HK has already been produced and an artist series of 14 variations looks set to be released sometime in the next few months. We are also looking to secure more commercial collaborations in the future, so check your brand savvy advertising company representative knows what is hot in the world and get BUKA!

OH MY GOD, IT'S BACK

Been a while since the last bit of blogging - mental notes are kept here on the HOFblog. Everything else needs backing up on to a harddrive or downloading from my brain.

New developments:

AdFunture are doing a lot this year. Hot off the back of the opening of their new factory, production is well under way for new 10" Teddy Troops, hot stuff from Reach and of course the god-destroying BUKA (including TTF and SDCC specials, then the 12 version artist series).

I am off to Taipei for the second year in a row, this time as an exhibiting artist - special guest at the adFunture booth. BUKA is everything - inspired by everything he encapsulates the antithesis of all that is desirable, yet cannot be left alone. He's the next Mickey Mouse (keep an eye out for some customised BUKA along the lines of the next Mickey Mouse).

FF Design continues on its path to gentle breeze, leaves in the wind type motions at the moment. Sony Radio Academy Awards had their 25th Year, so FF overhauled the brand to reflect that. Shiny brochure cover and some spectacular looking pages for Sony.

HOF has been part of various things, lots of live drawing with the folk at Monorex, Henbo exhibition, Plus Plush exhibition and lots more to come at Bodhi.

Jeff Staple

For a long time, Jeff Ng (aka Jeff Staple) has been on my design radar. Reed Space is just a name I've heard of for sometime but it is only recently I have come to realise the true inspirational guidance this man can offer me.

As a case study for how a designer can be a total success professionally and use that profession to personal success he's got to be number one in my book. Staple Design is just everywhere at the moment, they seem to be the one to collaborate with, or at least acquire their consultancy methods and use the name alongside the product. Now that's a route to success I'd like to take on board and achieve some of those personal success gains I've been thinking about for years.

Staple Design has just celebrated 10 years of existence. Just 2 more to go for freestylefoundation (in its many forms) until I hit that mark... sadly FF not a speck of light on where Staple is... but 2 years is a long time to knuckle down and get on with it!

...in the 07, slow start but progressing nicely.

Sony Radio Academy Awards 25th anniversary year is about to happen, and again I am branding and designing theprint for the Nominations and Ceremony. Sadly, my brilliant design was butchered by a mindless fuckwit and the remaining result is not even a shadow of what could have been acheived. Still life goes on without great design.

Things are gearing up for a Henbo show in May. BUKA is nearing endless happiness - will I be able to travel the world thanks to that little fella? Find out next year!

I'll utilise this blog more often to keep the millions of readers happy...

As part of a very exciting exhibition project by Kenn Munk, I have been asked to join the Every Thing is Black or White Sticker crew.

The image  above is a sneak peek at my entry to the 1:6 ratio sticker project. It will appear on a limited edition scaled-down sticker sheet for use at the upcoming show in Berlin (more locations to be announced).
